Reserved - Venue Management SaaS

Completed: Present

Engineered a dynamic rules engine to automate complex venue booking compliance — including NYC "block laws" — without manual verification.

The Problem

Venue managers face complex regulatory requirements that vary by location, date, and customer type. NYC "block laws" prohibit booking multiple venues within certain time windows, but manual enforcement is error-prone and time-consuming. Traditional booking systems are rigid and cannot adapt to complex conditional logic. Venues lose revenue to compliance mistakes and spend hours on manual verification.

The Solution

Built a multi-tenant SaaS platform with a proprietary dynamic rules engine that encodes complex regulatory logic as configurable rule sets. The engine evaluates booking requests against temporal, spatial, and customer constraints in real-time, automatically rejecting non-compliant bookings or suggesting alternatives. Implemented a rules DSL that allows venue managers to configure custom compliance logic without code changes. Created intelligent scheduling that suggests optimal booking slots while maintaining compliance.

The Impact

Built a multi-tenant SaaS with a rules engine that evaluates bookings against temporal, spatial, and customer constraints and lets venue managers configure compliance (like NYC block laws) without code changes. It's built but pre-launch — no live venues onboarded yet, so there are no efficiency, revenue, or scale numbers to cite. Targeting a real launch this year.
