Case Study & Portfolio Release Authorization

This Case Study & Portfolio Release Authorization ("Authorization") is entered into as of [DATE] between:

  • Dostal Technology LLC ("Consultant"), and
  • [CLIENT LEGAL NAME] ("Client"),

collectively the "Parties," in connection with the engagement described below (the "Engagement").

1. Engagement Reference

  • Engagement / Project Name: [PROJECT NAME]
  • Engagement Period: [START DATE] – [END DATE]
  • Underlying Agreement: [Reference to the Statement of Work / Master Consulting Agreement this engagement was performed under, if any]

2. Grant of Rights

Client authorizes Consultant to describe, publish, and reference the Engagement — including in Consultant's website, case studies, portfolio, sales presentations, proposals to prospective clients, social media, and other marketing materials (collectively, "Marketing Materials") — using the following, as elected by Client in Section 3 below:

  • A general description of the business problem, technical approach, and outcome
  • Quantifiable results achieved (e.g., performance improvements, cost savings, throughput, timeline)
  • Non-confidential architecture diagrams, screenshots, or code samples specifically approved by Client for this purpose
  • Client's company name and/or logo, if elected
  • A direct quote or testimonial from a named Client representative, if separately authorized (see the companion Testimonial Consent & Release, if applicable)

3. Attribution Level (select one)

  • Full attribution. Client's company name and logo may be used.
  • Anonymized. No company name or identifying details (e.g., "a Series B logistics company") — engagement description and metrics may still be used.
  • Anonymized, metrics only. No company name, logo, or industry-identifying detail — only aggregate/quantified results (e.g., "6,000% throughput improvement") may be used.

4. Confidentiality Carve-Out

This Authorization does not grant permission to disclose, and Consultant will not disclose:

  • Any information Client has separately designated confidential or proprietary under an NDA or the underlying Master Consulting Agreement
  • Trade secrets, source code (beyond samples separately approved under Section 2), security configurations, credentials, or infrastructure details not already approved
  • Financial data beyond the specific metrics Client approves for publication
  • Personally identifiable information of Client's employees, customers, or end users

If there is a conflict between this Authorization and an existing NDA or confidentiality clause between the Parties, the more restrictive term controls.

5. Review & Approval

Consultant will provide Client with the final draft of any Marketing Material created under this Authorization for review before publication. Client will respond with approval or requested changes within [NUMBER] business days; no response within that window is treated as approval unless Client has requested an extension in writing.

6. Duration & Revocation

This Authorization remains in effect until revoked. Client may revoke it at any time by written notice to Consultant. Revocation applies prospectively — Consultant will stop further distribution of new Marketing Materials using Client's information and will remove Client-identifying material from actively-controlled channels (e.g., the Consultant website) within [NUMBER] business days of revocation, but revocation does not require recall of materials already distributed to third parties before the revocation date (e.g., a printed proposal already sent to a prospective client).

7. No Compensation

No fee, discount, or other compensation is owed to either Party in connection with this Authorization, unless separately agreed in writing.

8. Governing Law

This Authorization is governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
