How is this different from the Growth Checkup for small businesses?
The Growth Checkup looks at your business — website, marketing, AI opportunity, growth readiness. This looks at your engineering — CI/CD, codebase, team process. If you’re a non-technical small business, start with the Growth Checkup. If you have, or are building, an engineering team, this is the one.
I'm not very technical. Will I understand it?
Yes. I write and talk for founders, not just engineers. Every finding comes in plain English with a clear “what to do” and “what it should cost.” If something needs a developer, I’ll tell you exactly what to ask for.
How is this different from what my developer tells me?
Your developer has a financial interest in the answer. I don’t. I’m not selling you a rebuild or a retainer — I’m telling you what’s actually going on. If your developer or team is doing great work, I’ll say that too.
How do you get into my codebase and tools? That’s my whole business.
We do it on a screen-share. You stay in control — you drive, I look at what you show me, and nothing leaves your hands. I explain everything as we go.
What if you don’t find anything worth $500?
Then it’s free. If I don’t find you at least $500 of wasted spend or a real risk worth fixing, you don’t pay. That’s the deal.
Do you work with my stack?
Yes — I’ve worked across everything from early-stage startup stacks to Hertz/Wayfair-scale systems. If your stack is something outside what I can meaningfully evaluate, I’ll tell you upfront and won’t charge you.
